I’m Jen Freckman! I’m a homeschool mama of 4 kids! {3 bio and 1 adopted} I’ve been married to my rockstar husband, Eric, for years now. We met on a blind date and we dated long distance (without iphones!) until we were married!
I spend most of my days teaching and reading to our 4 kids. Our evenings are spent having a family dinner around the table and going off to Awana or hosting small group meetings in our home.
I love laughing, good coffee, warm hugs and trying to be more minimal; in schedule & stuff. I’m passionate about my Lord, family, homeschool and adoption. Oh, and reading. I love a good living book!!
My husband and I had always wanted to adopt. Even before we had kids we were Safe Family parents. Basically, we took in kids that needed a place to stay for a couple months. We loved, fed and cared for them until they returned home with their parent(s).
This gave us first hand experience with how hard life can be for some women. So, when we started the adoption process we knew we wanted to find a birth mom that we could come alongside and care for during her pregnancy.

One thing was very important to us...we wanted her to know we loved HER unconditionally and would support her...even if she never placed her baby with us. That is why our relationship with Stephanie, our daughter’s birth mom (or Tummy Mommy, as we call her), is so special to us.
We have loved her from the very beginning! She’s pretty easy to love, I have to say!
I created this site as a way of connecting other adoptive/birth families together and to answer questions from readers.
